LEARN TO PLAY UKULELE IN A FUN AND CREATIVE WAY
Learning to play the ukulele is a skill anyone can use throughout their lives – family get togethers, church services, coffee houses, campfires, etc. Ukulele is also nice because a power source and an amplifier are not needed – and it’s not loud (good for anyone concerned about decibel levels in the house). Also, the skills (chords, scales, note reading, TAB etc.) are later transferable to acoustic guitar.
The success of Airdrie Music Lessons’ ukulele program is partly due to the group dynamic – students have more fun playing together and practice more to keep up with the class. The class format also allows us to “bring the energy up” getting the students enthusiastic about playing.
MORE ABOUT AIRDRIE UKULELE LESSONS
- 1-Hour Weekly Classes – Classes are held at Airdrie Music Lessons’ recording studio in Airdrie’s Bayside community and our Downtown location. 1-hour weekly classes provide twice the instruction time of the average ½ hr. lessons. This longer learning block allows students to delve deeper, covering a wide variety of material each week.
- Learning Materials – We supply students with a 3-ring music binder, sheet music, practice charts, and weekly practice videos.
- Bi-Annual Concerts – Student concerts are held in January and June at modern local facility with a professional sound system, lighting, stage, etc. These are special evening events for the whole family with door prizes, refreshments, etc.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Airdrie Music Lessons also offers Piano, Singing, Guitar, and Rock Band classes (and drum lessons) from beginner to advanced. It’s quite common for a student to begin with one type of class and then, after gaining proficiency in that area, shift to another (or take on an additional) area of interest.
